I am a lover of languages! I have the most experience tutoring students in the finer points of the English language. However, I can help students with French and Spanish pronunciation. Because I have an undergraduate degree in historical studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, I am well prepared to help students excel in American, European, and World history.Having a good grasp of the English language is important to the future success of students both in academic and job settings. That is why I chose to specialize in English language learners. I have earned an English language learners certificate from the University of Cambridge. In my tutoring sessions I cover phonics, reading, grammar, usage, and composition. I enjoy forming relationships with my students and tailor my lesson plans to the specific needs of each student. It is also important to me to make our sessions fun to ensure a high level of student engagement.When I am not reading and studying languages, I am viewing art or spending time hiking in the great outdoors.
