Education

Texas A&M - Bachelor, Environmental Design

Experience

I have an architecture degree from Texas A&M. I obtained my Texas real estate license shortly after that, and I am now in the process of getting my alternative teaching certificate. I would love to teach math at the middle school or high school grade level. It's very rewarding to me to act as a mentor and set a good example for students. I find it exciting when a student finally understands difficult material, and I love to watch them succeed at their goals. The student is a the main priority for any tutor, and that is exactly how I approach it. I tailor all of my lessons according to each individual student's particular learning style. It is my aim to make the student and his or her needs the main focus of any tutoring session. In college, I worked as a summer camp counselor. This work helped me relate to and understand children of all ages and walks of life. It also gave me the push that I needed to enter into the education field, a calling that I have since gone back to complete. Teaching math is interesting because I believe it forms a base that can help solve problems in all other areas of life.
