I am a tutor who is passionate about language. I can help anyone improve their French, Spanish, or English language skills. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas where I graduated magna cum laude. I am currently pursuing my master's at UTD. Five years ago my family and I moved to the U.S., and it became my job to translate for my family members. This led me to realize that I wanted to pursue a career involving language, and I worked as an interpreter for several years. I believe that knowing a second language is an excellent skill to have. It sets you apart from the crowd, and in today's world being bilingual could help you secure internships, scholarships, and jobs that otherwise would not have been available to you. Part of why I love language so much is because of how much a language reveals about the people who speak it. By learning a new language you are able to discover a whole new culture and all new belief systems. I understand that learning a new language can be difficult, but I believe that anyone who perseveres can be successful. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy karate, playing the piano, running, and reading good books.
